Penistone St John’s is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible SMSA – Lunchtime Supervisor

This is a term-time permanent position. The successful candidate will be a friendly and reliable team member with an interest in working with children.

This position will begin on Wednesday 1st September

£17,842 -  £18,198 (pro rata) /  £9.25 - £9.43 per hour

 

Job Requirements

The Lunchtime Supervisor role involves working as part of a team, willing to work both indoors and outdoors, setting up the dining hall, and tidying up after lunch, supervising the children either in the hall whilst having their lunch, classroom (during bad weather) and outside on the playground or field. Engaging with children of all ages and undertaking activities such as playing games.  Bringing children back into their classroom ready for the afternoon lessons.

·         Have a proven ability to work on their own initiative

·         Can ensure that children are safe

·         Are good communicators and have the ability to relate positively to children and adults

·         Have a ‘can do’ approach

·         Have a commitment to the happiness, well-being, self-esteem and progress of children

·         Have a positive attitude to the work they do and a highly enthusiastic, compassionate and forward thinking approach

·         Are honest and compassionate

·         Motivated, well behaved children

·         A dedicated and supportive staff team and Governors

·         Term-time hours, 5 days per week  (minimum of 5 hours)
