About the Post:

 

Business Support Officer – Grade 3
Temporary role – 30 hours per week to 31.8.2019, pending a review of the School Meals Catering Service.

An opportunity has arisen to join the diverse and multi skilled Business Support Service in Barnsley Council as a Business Support Officer.

The role will provide business support within a team that supports a variety of educational, social care and community services, including the Borough’s School Meals Catering Service.

Duties will include processing high volumes of requests for the purchase and supply of goods and services, raising sales orders for services provided, use of the Council’s electronic financial systems, eg. SAP, SRM7 , liaising with schools, dealing with all related enquiries to the service and maintenance of associated records .


You will need to hold a level 2 qualification and have experience of working within a business support environment .

You will be flexible in your approach in order to ensure the overall service objectives are achieved, be an excellent team player and willing to make a solid contribution to the smooth running of the service.

In return, you will be provided with training and opportunities to progress your continuous personal development in line with the requirements of the role, together with support from your Team Leader and colleagues in an enthusiastic and dedicated team.
