Post Title: Teaching Assistant

Hours per week: 27 ½ hours

Contract: 12-month temporary, (with the possibility of an extension to contract), term time only, plus two INSET days

Salary details: Grade 3 (£19,312 to £19,698 pro rata)

The Governors, staff and pupils at Joseph Locke primary School are excited to be recruiting a Teaching Assistant who can meet the needs of our fantastic children and community.

 

We are seeking an ambitious and driven professional who is willing to work with us in our journey to outstanding and support us in driving forward our school aims to ensure that every child reaches their full potential. 

 

The applicant needs to be committed to ensuring the highest standards in children's education by working as part of a brilliant team to ensure that the wellbeing, behaviour and personal development of pupils enhances their learning opportunities and life skills. 

 

Successful applicants must be willing to work alongside children with a range of Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) to plan for and deliver tailored and personalised interventions that allow all children to access a high quality mainstream education, as well as supporting all children to develop socially during outdoor play. 

 

The successful candidate will have the children at the heart of everything that they do and a passion for continued professional development.    

 

Applicants are required to hold the following qualifications: GCSE Maths and English (A-C) or equivalent, or hold a qualification at NVQ Level 3 in the relevant discipline.
