This role is defined as a safety critical role within the Drug & Alcohol Testing Procedure.  You must therefore be willing to comply in accordance with this procedure.

 

 

Pensions Regulations have provisions to reduce pension payments in certain circumstances of those who return to work within local government service.  If you are in receipt of a pension upon commencing employment with the authority, this may affect your pension entitlements and you should therefore seek advice from the relevant Pensions Authority.

 

 

About the Post:

 

 

Are you interested in being a passenger assistant accompanying children with special educational needs and / or disabilities on their journey to school as part of our school transport service? If so, you will work 5 days a week during school term time on a split shift.  The first shift will take the children to school at approximately 7.30am until 9.30am in the morning and the second shift will be around 2.30am until 4pm taking them home again. These times may alter slightly depending on school start and finish times and the number of children on your vehicle.

 

If you are interested, we are looking to recruit three Passenger Assistants to join our busy expanding team. You will need to have empathy and patience with children who have special needs and possess a polite professional manner.  If you have these qualities, we would love to hear from you. Some of the duties include checking timetables for pickups, liaising with school, carers, and families, and supervising the children at all times.

 

The proposed interviews dates are week commencing 15th August 2022.
