About the Post:

 

 

 

Do you want to help make a difference to the lives of vulnerable children in Barnsley? An opportunity has arisen to join our diverse and multi skilled Business Support team.  The role will include facilitating, scheduling and recording of sensitive and confidential Safeguarding meetings, at which family members are often present, co-ordination of statutory information, maintaining records and dealing with a range of safeguarding enquiries in support of Children’s Services, vital work protecting the most vulnerable children in the borough.  The successful post holder may also be asked to cover business support duties supporting other BMBC services at a range of sites across the borough from time to time. 

 

You will need to hold a level 2 qualification, have a business support background with an understanding of servicing meetings.  Applicants should be aware that there will be regular exposure to emotionally charged information in connection with vulnerable children and a level of personal resilience is required.

 

You will be flexible in your approach in order to ensure the overall service objectives are achieved, be an excellent team player and willing to make a solid contribution to the smooth running of the service.
