We are excited to be recruiting to the new post of Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist. Nexus MAT was formed in June 2016 and over the past five years has grown and developed to become a leading provider of state education across South Yorkshire. We have 11 academies: one in pre-opening; 9 special academies; and 1 mainstream primary. In 2017 the Trust came first in the category of “Outstanding Vision & Strategy” at the annual National Governance Association awards, and we have a relentless focus on improvement and development.

We are now seeking to appoint a Speech & Language Therapist who has experience in working with children and young people with learning difficulties and/or neurodevelopmental delay and a passion for making a difference for children by supporting in the diagnostic and development of treatment planning.

The post holder will work to support children and young people in our schools, supporting school staff, individual pupils and their families to overcome barriers and achieve their potential.

The vision for Nexus MAT is that we are “Learning together, to be the best we can be”, and the leadership style of the successful candidate will be a key determining factor in the selection process.

NB: The post will be paid on local government term and conditions, using NHS Band 7 mapped to spinal points 34 to 40 of the single status pay scheme. The successful applicant will be enrolled/transferred into the Local Government Pension Scheme.

In addition to Bank Holidays, the post comes with 29 days’ annual leave (plus 3 concessionary days), increasing to 32 days (plus 3 concessionary days) after 5 years’ service (pro rata).
