Barnsley Council’s Core Business Improvement and Intelligence (BII) Team is changing! The new look BII team will include a new lead post to lead the customer facing team of advisors and officers.

The lead role for this part of the team will need to be an excellent manager and be able to lead in the development of innovative solutions to present data back as information and intelligence to a wide ranging audience.
 
You will also lead on the development of strategic documents and needs assessments, such as the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) and develop new ways of getting key documents out to those who need them. You will be driving forward improvements across our organisation whilst always putting the customer first.

Some of the skills you may well possess could include:

• Excellent leadership and management skills;
• Experience of leading a team of performance and/or intelligence staff;
• Experience in developing key strategic documents such as the JSNA;
• Able to work with all levels of an organisation from other service colleagues, through to the most senior management team;
• Able to put the customer needs first in all areas.

You will need a relevant level 6 qualification.

This role will commence from the 1st April 2019.
