Business Development Manager

 

Barnsley Museums are an award winning Museum, Arts & Archives Service, managing five diverse venues attracting over 1.2M visitors each year.

We are seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager with drive, ambition and passion to join our management team and be responsible to the Head of Museums for the commercial development of our business.

The key focus of this role will be to realise the commercial potential of the Museums by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing growth in line with Museum’s Business Plan and Commercial Strategy.

The Business Development Manager will lead and inspire a small team focuses on growth in our events, functions, venue hire and retail offer, as well as working closely with our learning, collections and front of house teams to build strong team relationships and maximise opportunities.

The role will suit an experienced manager with a strong commercial services track record with demonstrable experience of driving financial growth and improving customer experience.
