About the Post:

The Early Intervention and Prevention Service offer a range of services to meet the needs of young people who require additional help and support, or whom might be taking risks. The service works alongside other agencies to help put young people on the right path and to promote and encourage more positive lifestyle choices.

The service works with young people both on a group and one to basis (where there is an additional need) and operates through a range of community venues to provide targeted evening and daytime provision tailored for young people to address a specific issue. Any young person can access services and opportunities either by themselves or through their consent to an agency referral.

The successful postholder will have responsibility to plan and lead a range of interventions, working within group settings and with individual young people who behaviour is causing concern within their communities. They will be expected to manage a caseload of individual children and young people who require early help interventions or who may have a range of complex needs, in partnership with other agencies who are involved. The post will also have responsibility for resources including building, staff and budgetary management as part of their local targeted youth offer.

The post will require regular evening work to support our local youth offer delivery.
