Your role in our journey
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly ambitious, innovative, energetic, friendly and high achieving Public Health team. The team has developed strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, making our work more effective in meeting the needs of our population and tackling health inequalities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Public Health Practitioner with passion for improving public health to support health protection and health care public health. This full-time post will provide specialist public health advice and support to support the COVID-19 response, further developing the COVID-19 Local Outbreak Control Plan and working with partners to ensure it is robust. The post holder will provide operational support to key areas of work relating to Health Protection, such as infection prevention control, screening and immuinsation linking with local and regional partners. The successful candidate will develop and support a Healthcare Public Health programme of work to improve population health and inequalities through preventative interventions.
What you’ll need
To join us, you’ll need a relevant degree and post graduate qualification and be able to evidence your commitment to continuous professional development. An experienced specialist in public health policy and methodologies, your track record will include involvement in commissioning and the development of strategies and policies to change services and outcomes and use of evidence based project, change and performance management techniques to drive successful change. With a flair for public engagement and partnership working, it is your talent for communication that really sets you apart.
