Prospective employees will be required to give a reasonable account of any significant periods (6 months or more in the past 3 years) of time living abroad.

 

Pensions Regulations have provisions to reduce pension payments in certain circumstances of those who return to work within local government service.  If you are in receipt of a pension upon commencing employment with the authority, this may affect your pension entitlements and you should therefore seek advice from the relevant Pensions Authority.

Your role in our journey

As Project Manager in the Markets and Town Centres Team, you will lead on the delivery of projects to support the recovery of the markets and town centres following the COVID Pandemic Lockdown. You will work in close partnership with a range of public / private organisations, community and voluntary groups and those who work, live and study in Barnsley.

What you’ll need

This is a fixed term 12 month opportunity, to join us, you’ll need a relevant level 6 qualification and/or evidence in a related field. You will need to evidence that you have a track record of effectively leading on planning and delivery of regeneration programmes.  You will need to demonstrate that you have contributed to the development of strategies and policies to drive successful change. Resilient, able to ‘get things done’ and a natural collaborator, it is your talent for communication that really sets you apart.
