About the Post:
This apprenticeship is open to anyone aged 16 upwards (no upper age limit!) with below Level 4 qualifications who wants to learn new skills, gain lots of work experience and get a valuable qualification all at the same time. Whether you’ve just left school or college or are in between jobs and looking to try something new why not give it a go?
It’s a brilliant opportunity to earn and learn at the same time! You’ll gain a fantastic range of skills and experience working in a busy office supporting the Adult Skills team at Wellington House in Barnsley town centre. We’ll also support you to move into a job when you’re ready!
Here are just some of the things you’ll be learning about with us:
• Dealing with enquiries from our learners and the general public in reception
• Making and taking telephone calls
• Inputting information into spreadsheets and database systems
• Ordering stationery and supplies
• Photocopying and laminating learning materials
You’ll need to be already working towards or have passed 4 GCSEs A* to D or equivalent (A* to C in English) to be able to apply for this apprenticeship.
The apprenticeship lasts for 60 weeks and as well as on the job training, you’ll also work towards the Level 2 Business & Administration Diploma.
