Part time Handyperson
Brierley CE (VC) Primary School

Required as soon as possible 

Hours: Part time, 15 hours per week 
Salary: Grade 2, £18,562 - £18,933 Pro Rata
Contract: Permanent

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated person, available as soon as possible to work 15 hours each week, who would like to provide a temporary key role in maintaining and our school site, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community and become part of our successful team.


We are looking for someone with a good range of skills, which include but are not limited to carrying out the following duties:

  • Maintenance of the property and grounds, and liaise with contractors when necessary
  • Carry out repairs, general maintenance of equipment and resources to an excellent standard
  • Willingness to attend any relevant training related to the role
  • Experience of DIY/Decorating/minor plumbing 
  • Grounds maintenance to a very high standard including grass cutting, tree pruning, keeping our allotment and pond in good order.
  • Maintain the roof guttering to endure is free of debris
  • Communicating with a range of people including pupils, staff, parents, visitors and contractors

 

Previous experience in a similar posts is not necessary however general experience carrying out the above tasks will be an advantage.
