The Governors of Kings Oak Primary Learning Centre are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to join our committed and hardworking team.

 

1 x Teaching Assistant – Grade 3 (Permanent – to start ASAP)

30 hours, 38 weeks + 2 Inset days per year; £12,725 - 12,979 approx.

Hours; 8.30am to 3.00pm with a 30 minute lunch, Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week

 

This permanent position is to support, plan and lead interventions to groups of children in literacy and numeracy and to provide learning support in classrooms in line with the Teaching Assistant job description.  We are looking for candidates with excellent numeracy and literacy skills. Experience of relevant programmes for example Read, Write, Inc would be an advantage.  

The successful applicant should be a positive role model for the pupils, supporting them to appropriately manage their behaviour and emotions. They will work with children to help them understand their barriers to learning and develop strategies to overcome them.  The right person for this job will be calm, supportive and nurturing, but with the ability to be firm but fair where needed, ensuring that all children feel safe, secure and confident in channelling their emotions effectively.

We work hard to develop our children’s self-confidence and social interaction skills, to help them to take pride in their achievements, be confident in group participation and in sharing ideas, as well as respecting those of others.
