About the Post:

We are looking to recruit staff to a Local Authority five bedded home providing medium to long term placements to 5 young people aged 12 to 18 years. The home is rated 'Good' by Ofsted.

The home provides high quality residential care to young people and contributes to the protection and safeguarding of the young people at all times, promoting education, health and wellbeing of the young people to effectively meet the five outcomes. We are proud that the home has consistently met high standards and improved outcomes for young people.

We are looking for experienced child care residential worker(s) to join the existing and well-stablished team and who can demonstrate child centred practice that leads to positive outcomes for young people.

The Senior position will be one where the successful candidate takes on more management responsibilities and will be responsible to lead a team when on shift.

A key part of both posts is in being a named link worker for a young person in the home and to take responsibility for their care planning in the home and actively promoting their engagement in education, training and employment as well as ensuring their health needs and social needs are met.

The successful applicant will need to evidence some experience of direct work in a residential setting with young people and, for the senior position, experience of leading a team.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate skills in working as part of a team as well as working on their own initiative within existing practice. We are looking for someone who is able to make strong, positive relationships with young people in order to effect lasting and successful outcomes.

The team is led by an experienced manager and you will benefit from regular supervision as well as being committed to undertake training and continuous professional development in connection with the post.
