Hoyland Springwood is a small primary school with children starting school in FS2. There are 142 pupils on roll.  It is part of the Every Child Matters Academy Trust and the Tykes Teaching School Alliance.  The school is outward facing and works in a range of partnerships providing development opportunities for the school and its staff.  At its last inspection in September 2018 the school was judged as good.

 

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated classroom teacher to join our team at Hoyland Springwood from September 2022.   We are an inclusive, forward thinking and fast moving primary school with happy, well-engaged children and committed staff members who ‘go the extra mile’ for the children. The school can offer some flexibility to the initial year group to be taught depending on the expertise of the successful applicant.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and imaginative teacher who:

  • Can demonstrate strong practice and a passion for working with children
  • Has a good understanding of the way children develop and learn
  • Will be a team player and be able to demonstrate strong literacy, numeracy and ICT skills as well as having a creative vision to ensure inspiring and motivating lessons are developed
  • Can adapt lessons rapidly to meet the needs of the children they are working with
  • Is committed to nurturing the development of our children, by having an excellent rapport with children, parents and carers
  • Has a commitment to inclusive education and a genuine desire to work co-operatively with parents, key school staff and other professionals
  • Has the ability to forge excellent relationships with colleagues, parents and most importantly, our children
  • Is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that all children achieve as highly as possible
