About the post:
Operating from Smithies Lane Depot during term time only.
The purpose of the role is to assist with the collection and transportation of Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to and from their homes and on their journey between home and school in transport determined by the Local Authority, ensuring the comfort, safety and wellbeing of Pupils whilst in their care.
Some of your day to day tasks will include:
• checking timetables for pick-ups
• liaising with schools, carers and families
• helping service users to and from the vehicle
• securing passengers, wheelchairs and baggage
• dealing with emergencies
• supervising passengers at all times
