Your role in our Journey

This is a permanent post managing large budgets and helping Barnsley protect its environment through increased recycling. You will be leading varied teams from contract management to operational performance works and works management through an exciting period of change where technology and constant improvement methodologies will play a critical role in shaping the success of your services. You will play a crucial role leading the team through a series of major transformation projects as we re-shape our services to meet the future demands on recycling and help protect our borough for future generations.

As the Service Support Manager based within Commercial and Operational Support Services, you’ll be at the heart of the change and will play an active role improving recycling, contracts performance and the customer experience across Environment and Transport.

What you’ll need

To join us, you’ll need a level 6 qualification and be able to demonstrate the right skills and capabilities to lead your team to deliver complex technical change projects and manage large contracts and budgets. Experience of the waste and recycling industry, contracts management and budget management experience will be a distinct advantage.
