As a trust we are excited to have been chosen by the Department for Education as their approved sponsor to open a new secondary school to support the increasing population of Barnsley.  In September 2021 Trinity Academy St Edward’s will open its doors to a founding cohort of Year 7 students from across the town.  

We are looking to recruit a committed, and proactive Assistant Student Liaison Officer to our founding Student Support Team.

At Trinity Academy St Edward’s, standards will be incredibly high, and every young person will be guided into adopting and developing positive learning habits through a clear, robust, and consistent set of expectations from the very day that they join us. The role of Assistant Student Liaison Officer will be key in establishing this culture by:

  •   Raising the aspirations/self-esteem of students. 
  •   Implementing enrichment and reward activities which contribute to students’ attainment and development 
  •   Implementing programmes of support for identified students, working in collaboration with other pastoral and SEN staff. 
  •   Implementing programmes which focus on students’ attitudinal and academic development.  

What we need?

  •   5 or more GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
  •   Experience of successfully working with young people and securing positive outcomes
  •   Experience of working in an educational environment
  •   Excellent communication skills
  •   Ability to prioritise workload
  •   Team player
