This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-agency service working to support and protect children and young people in the Barnsley area.
You will work with colleagues and partners to develop local links and supports for children, young people and families, offering information, guidance and intervention as appropriate.
As a social worker within the Stronger Families team, you will be responsible for working with colleagues and families to develop and drive Child In Need plans to secure measurable outcomes for children and young people who have been assessed as requiring social work intervention.
You will have a sound working knowledge of legislation and policy frameworks to ensure that children are offered robust support and protection. You will be motivated, self-directed and committed to achieving change for children and young people.
You will receive regular supervision and development opportunities.
