St Helen’s Primary Academy, based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, converted to academy status on the 01 December 2012 and is sponsored by Academies Enterprise Trust (AET). We are an academy on the journey of improvement. We have 310 children currently on role with increasing reception numbers expected in September. Our children are praised consistently by visitors and their approach to learning is positive and focused. Our parents are supportive and we have a strong Governing Body who work tirelessly in partnership with academy leaders to move the school towards outstanding.

The Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding KS2 teacher to strengthen our team of dedicated professionals. This is an ideal opportunity for an aspiring leader as we would like the successful candidate to lead maths throughout the academy.

In order to satisfy the demands of this KS2 Teacher and Maths Leader role it is essential that you have been graded 'Good to Outstanding' by Ofsted and are particularly passionate about Primary Maths / Numeracy. The school are looking for an ambitious Primary Teacher who is able to engage children well and create strong, productive
relationships with students and staff alike.

• You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team.
• You will be able to inspire and motivate teachers and children alike.
• You will have high expectations and a proven track record of improving progress and attainment for all children.
• You will be able to demonstrate a passion to capture imaginations and create a sense of curiosity and love of learning.
