37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Term Time (38 weeks & 3 additional weeks & 5 INSET days)

Netherwood is an Advanced Learning Centre which opened its doors to 1150 students in September 2012. £35 million has been invested in the building which includes high quality facilities for teaching and learning and community use. Netherwood is ambitious; our aim is to become the best school in the region and our journey towards becoming outstanding has begun.

Governors are seeking to appoint a Senior Administrative Officer to join the team at Netherwood. The purpose of this role is to act as data manager within the school liaising with SLT on all matters relating to the collection and manipulation of student data in order to raise attainment. The successful candidate will be required to complete statutory and non-statutory returns to meet internal and external deadlines, produce data for appropriate staff within short and rigid deadlines, be the System Manager for the SIMS system, managing all modules and the integration with Microsoft software and act as line manager to the team of Administrative Assistants and Exams Officer.

Desirable qualifications/ experience:-

• 4 GCSEs grade A*-C, or equivalent (including English and Mathematics).
• Appropriate Level 5 qualification.
• Experience of SIMS Suite of Educational Software (with the exception of the Financial Management System module).
• Knowledge of working in an educational environment.
• Experience of working in a supervisory role.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Excellent practical skills in ICT, particularly Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Closing date for applications will be 12 noon on Friday 24th April 2015 followed by short listing. Interviews will be held week commencing 27th April 2015.
