Mapplewell Primary School is part of the HCAT and works in close partnership with other schools within the trust. HCAT is rooted in ensuring that children receive world-class education. We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will support with the smooth operation of the school through delivering planned lessons. Responsibilities include delivering lessons based on pre-prepared work to a class, managing the classroom environment to promote good behaviour for learning, and liaising with teaching colleagues on their return to promote good continuity for the children. Adaptability, resilience and the ability to think on your feet are essential in this varied and evolving role, as will an ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. We are looking someone who is passionate, enthusiastic and committed to a career within education.
The ideal candidate will have the skills to:
• Work well as part of a team, as well as being self-motivated and able to work independently
• Be an outstanding classroom practitioner.
• Be passionate about the children’s learning and welfare.
• Have the ability to enthuse and engage students in purposeful learning experiences
• Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
Applicants should hold 2 GCSEs at grade 6-9 in English and Maths or equivalent. An appropriate Level 3 qualification is desirable.
