About the Post:

Your role in our journey

To ensure the continued provision of high-quality Health Visiting and School Nursing (Public Health Nursing) services in Barnsley we are looking to attract an experienced and self-motivated individual to lead the service Clinical Quality Governance and inspection frameworks for the Public Health Nursing Service to ensure a 'whole system' approach to quality, safety and governance. This role is crucial in providing assurance that our services are compliant, safe and delivering high-quality care. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, leading the delivery of Quality Assurance and improvement activity, including delivery of systems which support clinical effectiveness, safety, regulatory compliance, customer feedback and professional development. We are seeking a well organised individual with the ability to manage competing demands and meet deadlines whilst ensuring information is accurate. Excellent communications skills are essential to be able to build strong relationships with staff and stakeholders to ensure that the service achieves key outcome targets whilst maintaining the highest quality of care for our service users.

What you will need

 To join us, you’ll need to be a Registered Nurse with a degree and with experience and understanding of driving quality assurance processes within health care and /or across a multi-agency partnership. The post holder will support the development of a culture across the Public Health Nursing workforce which values continuing professional development and strives for excellence in the delivery of good quality care. You will be responsible for the co-ordination of all governance activity including managing risk, clinical audit, clinical effectiveness, and service user experience. The post holder will need to develop, create, and manage robust systems and processes and can compile analytical reports in relation to clinical governance and quality, which underpins safe clinical practice. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about Public Health and improving outcomes for children, young people, families, and communities.
