Thank you for your interest in the post of Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Every Child Matters Academy Trust (ECM).

 

Since our establishment in 2016, the Trust has come a long way.  Growing from three schools to five in 2018, then to eight in 2020 and aiming to become a team of 11 schools in 2024. Six of our 8 schools have been inspected by OFSTED following conversion and the outcomes of each inspection have been positive, each report has highlighted strong and positive support from the Trust.

 

The schools of ECM have a great deal of autonomy whilst working within the Trust framework of compliance. Leaders work collaboratively to improve outcomes for all children within the trust and beyond, providing them with the best educational opportunities in order to give them better life chances.  Our talented school leaders are well supported in their work by the Trust’s central team, led by the CEO, Gerry Wilson. 

 

Gerry is stepping back to work with the Trust on a part time basis. The Trustees wish to appoint an outstanding candidate, who will have gained a wealth of experience from working in primary schools and have a track record of successful school improvement. Trustees are looking to appoint someone who can work alongside other members of the central team to drive school improvement. The person appointed will work closely with the CEO and deputise in her absence as the Trust continues to develop.

As CEO, I am also looking forward to adding to our already talented central team.  I am sure that alongside maintaining a keen focus on teaching and learning, the successful candidate will be able to support in all areas of the organisation specifically in supporting the growth of the Trust.
