Barnsley Children’s Services will be opening its first 16+ semi-independent and supported accommodation next summer and we are looking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Registered Manager to lead the next stage of this key service development.
Working out of a recently and totally refurbished Georgian building in a highly desirable part of town close to transport links, Barnsley College and the Care Leaver Hub there will be four fully furnished individual flats plus staff office, staff sleep-in room and large direct work area to support young people in their next step to independence.
Young people with lived experience in care shaped this initiative, and we are looking for the right candidate to take the next steps to drive and champion this collaborative effort.
We are looking for a person with: -
· Strong leadership skills and a creative vision.
· Experience of working with young people.
· A commitment to improving outcomes for care leavers.
· An aspirational and outcomes focus.
· The ability to enable their team to think radically with a solution focussed perspective.
