Higher Level Teaching Assistant – The Mill Academy The Mill Academy is seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to play a key role in supporting outstanding teaching and learning across our school. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about making a difference. As a HLTA, you will be: Supporting Pupils · Building positive, supportive relationships and acting as a role model · Delivering targeted support, including 1:1 mentoring and pastoral care · Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop independence · Supporting children with additional needs and promoting inclusion · Encouraging confidence, resilience and positive behaviour
Supporting Teaching & Learning · Planning, delivering and adapting learning activities · Assessing, recording and reporting on pupil progress · Managing behaviour effectively and creating a positive learning environment · Leading lessons in the absence of the teacher · Supporting assessment, marking and feedback
Leadership & School Contribution · Leading on a specialist area and supporting other teaching assistants · Contributing to behaviour, attendance and pastoral systems · Working closely with parents, carers and external professionals · Supporting school initiatives and contributing to the wider school ethos · Helping to organise resources, learning environments and activities
We are Looking For Someone who: · Has experience working in a primary school setting · Is confident leading whole-class learning · Has strong behaviour management and communication skills · Is passionate about inclusion and supporting all learners · Can work independently and as part of a team · Demonstrates initiative, professionalism and a commitment to safeguarding
