About the Post:

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly ambitious, innovative, energetic, friendly, and high achieving 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service (PHNS) where we are focussed on placing local people at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals who are keen to be involved in the transformation and delivery of Public Health Nursing Services across Barnsley. The post holder will work in collaboration with others to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families, supporting the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme across the Borough,

About You 

To join us you need to be a first level Registered Nurse (RNA, RNMH, RNC, RNLD) or Midwife and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. We are particularly keen to receive applications from nurses and midwives who have experience of working in areas such as mental health, sexual health, working with children, young people and families and working in the community. You will be able to understand the needs of children and young people to assist you in undertaking clear and detailed assessments at both individual and community level including assessment of health needs and identifying risks. You will work alongside health visiting and school nursing teams and contribute towards delivering the Healthy Child Programme and provide specific targeted interventions as well as delivering health promotion and public health activities. We are seeking individuals who are motivated, enthusiastic and who are passionate about wanting to support the provision of high-quality services that improves outcomes for children, young people, families, and communities. Your ability to plan and prioritise your own workload and the ability to travel to a range of venues and settings is essential.
