About the Post: 

The purchasing, procurement and contract management team in the Council is looking to recruit an Apprentice to join their team to support the delivery of a range of activities in the team to grow their skills and knowledge of public sector procurement and contract management.

As an Apprentice in the team you will work alongside Officers to support tasks for the end to end procurement process, which includes things like raising and receipting orders, summarising and assessing spend and contract performance data, requesting quotes and searching for suppliers information.

The ideal candidate will be committed, energetic, solution focused and able to work as part of a team or own their own, with high standards and a pride in their work and aspiration to learn and develop in the area of procurement and contract management in the public sector.

The successful candidate will be offered:
