We're looking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed individual to strengthen the Authority’s most valuable asset, its workforce. An opportunity has arisen to join the Business Support Service in Barnsley Council as a Business Support Officer. The role is to support the Safeguarding Adults Service and contribute to the work of a range of statutory and strategic Boards and their sub-groups through the provision of an effective technical business support service.
The Business Support team is a committed and dedicated workforce supporting services across Barnsley Council in delivering an excellent customer experience. You will be a confident and excellent communicator who can liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You will also need to have excellent organisational skills.
You will hold a level 3 qualification in a business-related subject and have a commitment to progress to a Level 4 qualification as part of your continuous professional development.
You will be flexible in your approach to ensure the overall service objectives are achieved, be an excellent team player and willing to make a solid contribution to the smooth running of the service.
In return, you will be provided with training and opportunities to progress your continuous personal development in line with the requirements of the role, together with support from the Team Leader and colleagues in an enthusiastic and dedicated team.
